Joseph "Joe" Stafford Keer, 68, died at home in Souderton, PA on June 8, 2022. He was the husband of Peggy (Wright) Keer, to whom he was married for 43 years. Born to Jean (Fredholm) Keer and Stafford Joseph Keer in Groton, CT, he grew up in Philadelphia and Blue Bell, and was an Eagle Scout and a 1971 graduate of Bishop Kenrick Catholic High School in Norristown. He held various technical and engineering positions after he attended Penn State University. During his career as an engineer in the aerospace industry he was particularly proud of his role as final test engineer for the Landsat 7 satellite project. Landsat 7 provided images to NASA that were used by NOAA and USGS.

He was passionate about music and enjoyed quoting Monty Python skits. He loved animals, especially his dog Alpha and cat Tipper, and was reverent about nature, especially Hawk Mountain and the deserts of Arizona. He was a lifelong ham radio operator and his calls included WA3LCB, KU3T and his current W3KJ. He was also a talented photographer and in recent years had begun teaching himself vector graphics.
In addition to his wife and parents, Joe is survived by his children: Gr Keer and spouse Crystal Azul, John Keer and spouse Stephanie (Bobb) Keer, and Emily Keer; grandchildren: Charles, Sullivan, and Oliver Keer, Samuel and Penelope Dugan; siblings: Beth Keer and spouse Mark Riley, Karen (Keer) Shegda and spouse George Shegda, Christopher Keer and partner Mary Clemson, Timothy Keer and spouse Clara (Leister) Keer, Richard Keer and spouse Kristina (Schulze) Keer, and Edward Keer and spouse Kristine Jaeger; as well as many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and a large extended family.
