John Clyde "Jack" Madara, 77, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 1, 2026.
Born on November 25, 1948, in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late Rolland E. Madara and Anna C. (Scully) Madara.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Widener University, having graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School.
Jack served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1971. Following his military service, he pursued a career as an Electrical Engineer in the manufacturing of process instrumentation and electronic assembly equipment, working for Burroughs, Fischer & Porter, and Kulicke & Soffa.
He had a deep passion for family history research, enjoyed target shooting and carpentry, was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and pursued amateur radio as a licensed novice operator.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer E. Madara and her partner Thomas Mood of Pennsylvania, Jake E. Madara and his wife Erin of Pennsylvania, and David J. Madara of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Clara and Tucker Mood, and Spencer Madara of Pennsylvania; his siblings, Patricia Bendler, Anne Madara, Madelyn Prosachik of Florida, Barbara Merdian of Pennsylvania, and Marian Newmyer of Wisconsin and his former wife of 43 years, Susan Madara of Pennsylvania.
Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Moore of Pennsylvania and a brother, Rolland "James" Madara of Florida.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
