Jeanne Mary Weller, age 83, of Harleysville, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at her residence. Born May 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert Richard Powell and Mary Elisabeth (Bloom) Irwin. As a teenager, Jeanne moved from the city of Philadelphia to the small town of Salfordville and became the beloved wife of the late Clifford "Tippy" C. Weller, with whom she shared over 61 years of marriage.
She remained a city girl at heart, always happy to navigate the busy/heavy traffic of the city. Jeanne was a business partner and office manager of the family owned business as well as a volunteer within the Upper Salford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Her lifelong friends were the result of this community. Jeanne enjoyed traveling with friends and family, reading, knitting, crocheting, online shopping and going to the casinos.
Jeanne is survived by her children Debra Kerr and her husband Donald of Harleysville, Patricia Price and her husband Jay of Harleysville, Sandra Ramsey and her husband Jack of East Greenville, David Weller, Kathleen Ziegler and her husband Scott of Telford, Janine Mahoney and her husband Kevin of Perkiomenville, Daniel Weller and his wife Marcia of Harleysville, Donald Weller and his wife Lori of Perkiomenville; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant son Walter H. Weller.
Although her family was large, there was always room for more. While raising her own children, she opened her home to many of her children's friends as well.
A celebration of Jeanne's life will take place at the Upper Salford Fire Company Hall on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:30am. There will be a short service followed by a luncheon. A private burial is planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanne's name may be made to the Lower Salford Township Police Department or the Harleysville Emergency Medical Service, Inc.
