Jean N. Landis, age 79, of Harleysville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Alan "Chip" Landis, with whom she shared almost 24 years of marriage.

Born May 27, 1945, in Minneapolis MN, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Kurokawa) Okazaki of Lansdale, PA.

Jean graduated from North Penn High School in 1963.  She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Beaver College in 1967, then her Master's from Lehigh University in 1972.  She went on to teach English at various local school districts and Montgomery County Community College, ultimately returning to her alma mater of North Penn for the majority of her career.

Jean was an avid reader, often reading several books at once.  She also enjoyed the beach, playing cards with friends, counted cross stitch, knitting, and sewing.  Over the years, Jean would frequently gift her creations to family and friends.

In addition to her husband Chip, Jean is survived by her children Stephen Nogami and his wife Adriana, Allison Madrid and her husband Benjamin, and Suzanne Nogami and her husband Donald Sabatino; stepchildren Carolyn Brzezicki and her husband Mike, and Lauren Garges and her husband Christopher; grandchildren Avery and Olivia Nogami; step grandchildren Autumn and Joshua Garges, Brooke Brzezicki; and brother Alan Okazaki and his husband Fred Duer.

A memorial service for Jean will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will be private.
