Jean A. Benner, 90, of Harleysville, died on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She was the wife of Donald F. Benner, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn Boehm.
She was a graduate of Souderton Area High School, class of 1952. During high school she was a majorette in the band, played field hockey and was Caption of the 1951 championship team and was MVP of the basketball team her senior year. She enjoyed camping when her boys were younger. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, golfing, dancing, gardening, walking, and going to her family's youth sports games.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeffery Greenwalt (Barbara) and Gary Greenwalt (Carol), four grandchildren Jacki Boyd (Dan), Kyle Greenwalt (Samantha), Dr. Alesha Greenwalt and Travis Greenwalt, six great-grandchildren Mikaela, Landen, Brantley, Deacon, Gunnar and Hazelynn, a nephew Keith Kriebel (Linda Wells) and a niece Denise Rupert (Jim).
Services for Jean will be private with burial at New Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery.
