Janet Avalon Rohland (nee Berry), 86, of Telford, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, Pa.  Born February 24, 1936, in Sunbury, Pa., she was the daughter of Clayton and Theora Berry.

Janet was a graduate of Sunbury Area High School and worked as a librarian at Kauffman Public Library in Sunbury.  In 1957, she married Robert M. (Bob) Rohland.  She is the mother of two daughters, Pamela Kay Rohland and Andrea Louise Rohland-Le.

Janet was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Sunbury, Pa.

After residing in Williamsport, and later, Bradford, Pa., she and her husband and two children moved to Telford, Pa., where she lived for 40 years.

Janet was an accomplished home seamstress for whom no project, including the making of her youngest daughter's wedding dress, was too challenging.  In addition, she was an animal lover who enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea and son-in-law, Ngoc Hong Le, of Montreal, Quebec, as well as her sister Audrey Whitman of Northumberland, Pa., brothers Richard L. Berry and wife Patricia E. Berry of Lititz, Pa., and Richard A. Berry and wife Carol A. Berry of Lewisburg, Pa.

She was preceded in death by Robert Rohland, her husband of fifty years, her eldest daughter Pamela, and sisters Phyllis Beaver and Lois Jean Arnold.

A graveside service for Janet will be held in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, Pa., in June, where she will be interred beside her husband and daughter.
