Janet Lynn (Peterman) Leach of Hatfield PA.,

August 20,1955 to January 16, 2025

Janet passed peacefully at home with Dan, her husband of 42years, by her side. She was the daughter of William and Lois (Raudenbush) Peterman. She is also survived by two sisters, Cindy Miller (Dana) of Sellersville, PA and Susan Deardorff (Curt) of North Wales, PA.

Janet was a 1973 graduate of North Penn High School where she was an excellent student and a member of the cheerleading squad. After graduation she worked at Weaver Steel in Lansdale, PA until 1978 when she took a cross-country road trip and visited Alta, UT.  She then spent the next five ski seasons working at Goldminer's Daughter Ski Lodge in Alta, UT.

Missing her family, she and Dan returned to the Lansdale, PA area in 1984, settling in Hatfield, PA in 1986. She soon started working for the U. S. Postal Service, becoming the smiling face at the Hatfield Post Office for over twenty years. She loved her family dearly and always did her best to attend the many activities that her nieces and nephews (and then their children) were involved in. She was an avid reader, and a fan of British detective shows on TV. She will be remembered as a person who had a kind and gentle heart and cared for others more than herself.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montgomery County Bookmobile Dept. at Norristown County Library, 1001 Powell St., Norristown, PA 19401. Please note on the check "Bookmobile Dept. in memory of Janet Leach." On the envelope, write "Attn. Bookmobile Dept."

As Janet wished, no service will be held so please take a moment as you read this to think a happy thought of Janet to help her on the next part of her journey.  She is gone and here she comes.
