Janet E. (Thomas) Brown, born February 19, 1937, of Earlington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. She was married to the late John Brown for 63 years.
Born in Tylersport, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Miriam Thomas. She attended Souderton High School and graduated in 1955.
Janet worked after high school at Union National Bank, Peter Becker Community, and Schwenkfeld Manor. She enjoyed volunteering at Living Branches and Peter Becker Community. Janet enjoyed cleaning, gardening, bowling, and having coffee every morning or evening for over 60 years with her neighbor and best friend Shirley Whitebread. Most of all she loved the beach.
Janet was known for her beautiful smile and cooking. You would never go away hungry from their home on Allentown Road or their home in Cape
May Court House. Janet and John enjoyed traveling to Florida and had many friends over the years in Daytona Beach. The best spent time was
with their children and grandchildren. Memories were made playing family baseball, holiday gatherings, riding motorcycles together, family bowling and "mostly" spending time at the beach house. Many memories were shared over 40 years at the beach house with family and friends. John and Janet became great friends to all their children's friends over the years.
Janet is survived by four children, son John William "Binky" Brown and Connie Heacock of Earlington, daughter Julie Moyer and her husband Clark of Harleysville, son Jeffrey C. Brown and his wife Karen of Earlington, and son Jerel "Jerry" Brown and Susie Moeckel of Earlington.
Grammy's most precious gifts were her grandchildren, Kyle Brown and his wife Ashley, Alayna Brown Klotz and her husband Timo, Cassondra Brown and Jacob Brown; great grandchildren Lydia Brown, Bryson Brown, Lily Klotz and Leo Klotz; sister Mary Landis and brothers Henry Thomas and Carl Thomas.
In addition to her husband, Janet was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Delp and her husband Bill, sister Pauline Landis and her husband John, brother Jacob Thomas and his wife Elaine, brother-in-law Floyd Landis, and sisters-in-law Bonnie Thomas and Shirley Thomas.
Services for Janet will be private. A celebration/party will be held in the fall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to St. Luke's Hospice Development House, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015,
