Jane Ann (Burke) Furlong, 96, formerly of Souderton, PA and Telford, PA, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late William I. Furlong who passed away in 1994.
Born October 1, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Sadie (Cavanaugh) Burke. She attended Holy Angels Elementary School and graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, PA, in 1945.
Jane was employed as an executive secretary for many years for George Tripp, Inc. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Sellersville, PA, where she was active with the Silver & Gold Club. She was also a member of Generations of Souderton, PA, where she enjoyed exercise classes and the friendships she built there. She was devoted to her family and was happiest when spending time with them. She was a constant presence in their lives leaving them with many amazing memories. She enjoyed family trips to Hilton Head, SC, and her daily walks where she spread kindness to all who passed by.
She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Furlong of Camden, ME, and Susan Kingsbury and son-in-law Thomas, of Souderton, PA; and a sister, Mary Clare Yatsko of Danboro, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Ethan and his wife Kelly and their children Alyssa, Ava, Connor and Delaney; Erin and her husband Nate and their children Niamh and Norah; Brianne and her husband Jamie and their children Reese, Maddox and Cullen; and Evan and his wife Sara and their children Brody, Nolan and Chandler; as well as nieces and nephews. Her love for her family was limitless and brought her a sense of pride and joy.
In addition to her husband, Jane was preceded in death by their infant daughter, Mary; and a brother, Thomas Burke.
Leaving behind a legacy of love, Jane's memory will live on through her surviving family.
A Funeral Mass at St. Mary Chapel and interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery will take place in the near future. Arrangements are by the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. of Franconia, PA.
