James "Jim" Lee Wile, Sr., of Souderton, was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at the age of 76. He will be missed dearly.

Born November 29, 1948, at home in Harleysville, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Largent) Wile. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Pawlishyn) Wile to whom he was married for over 52 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Lee Wile, Jr., of Souderton, Jenna Marie Wile Bennett and her husband Jon Bennett of Quakertown; his siblings, Cheryl Freer, Diane Simkins, Bruce Wile, Melinda Hennessey, Arlene Wolfinger and Daniel Wile; and his grandchildren, James L. Wile, III, Alexis Ann Wile, River Hyacinth Bennett, and Asher Rhodes Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Glenn Wile and Jack Wile.

In his life, James always put his family first. His other loves were watching the Phillies, fishing, hunting, growing tomatoes to share, and going on vacation; nature and spending time with special people in his life were important to him.  Every summer, he loved making sure that family and friends had plenty of delicious tomatoes from his garden. Fishing was a special activity that he made sure to teach each of his grandchildren. Hunting time was spent with his brother-in-law in the mountains, and vacations at the beach with his wife, kids, and grandkids were his favorite. Cruises with his wife and siblings were something he always looked forward to.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home 667 Harleysville Pike Telford, PA 18969. Visitors may also greet the family from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Trisomy21 (Down Syndrome) Program at CHOP.
