James Waldspurger, 102, of Hatfield, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was the husband of the late Agnes Waldspurger.
Born in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Edward and Julia Waldspurger. James was a graduate of Lansdale High School, class of 1938. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He had worked as a plant manager at the former Hanson Textile Company in Hatfield.
James was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, fishing, roller skating, going to the mountains with his family and was a huge Phillies fan.
He is survived by his children, James Waldspurger (Kathy) of Maryland, Rita Roberts (Bruce) of Sellersville, Agnes Spotts (Paul) of Hatfield and Paul Waldspurger (Stacy) of Quakertown, 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son David Waldspurger.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 1, from 6-8 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, 18969. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 2 at St. Maria Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, 19440. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hatfield American Legion Post 933, 2100 Koffel Road, Hatfield, PA 19440 or Wounded Warrior Project
