James Cargill Jack Jr., 95, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at the Peter Becker Community in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. He was the devoted husband of the late Helene Jack, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they made their home in Warminster, Pennsylvania, and later in Ocala, Florida.
Born on April 13, 1930, in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. James was the beloved son of the late James Cargill Jack and Edith Elizabeth Duncan. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Navy Reserves, proudly dedicating himself as a veteran.
James built a successful career in banking, serving as an Operations Manager at Provident National Bank in Philadelphia and later as a Loan Officer at Industrial Valley Bank and Trust Company.
James was a man of faith and a devoted member of the Lutheran Church. He was also a gifted organist who found great joy in playing and composing music, especially for churches and weddings.
James had a lifelong love for dogs, cherishing the companionship of many different breeds over the years. James took great joy in sharing his love for various dog breeds with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and was a proud supporter of the Humane Society, reflecting his lifelong love for dogs. Among his many canine companions, he was most proud of his beloved cocker spaniels, Buttons and Shadow.
He is survived by his three sons: Scott Jack and his wife, Lynda; Christopher Jack; and Wesley Jack and his wife, Kimberly. He also leaves behind four grandchildren—Kylie, Alex, Katelynn, and Stephanie—and three great-grandchildren: Ian, June, and Mila.
