Irene M. Bishop, age 95, went home to be with the Lord, Monday morning, June 19.  She was the wife of the late Willard A, "Bill" Bishop who died in 2003.  The couple was married 52 years at the time of his death.

Born in Nazareth, Northampton County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Gladys S. (Bat) Phillips.  She graduated from Nazareth High School, then was employed by Nazareth National Bank, Seaboard Finance Co. and in the office
of Sears, Roebuck & Co.

Irene was a member of St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church, until her marriage in 1950 to Willard when she became a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Lansdale. She was a secretary-bookkeeper in her husband's business, Bishop's Wood Products, Souderton.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by two children:

Five grandchildren:
Jen Kurlak,
Hope Ferenchick and husband Phil,
Michael A. Bishop and wife Audrey,
Katy Freeman and husband John and
Jamie Hunsicker,
Nine great-grandchildren:
Allison & Jacob Kurlak,
Ella, Drew, Gabe and Noa Bishop,
Josh and Ben Freeman and Nolan Behe.  And several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters:
Annabella Stout, Gertrude Sies, Karen Hahn, sister-in-law Sue Bishop.

In addition to her husband, Irene was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara A. (Bishop) Reinford and a brother Albert Phillips.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Saturday, June 24, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where viewing will take Place from 10-11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service. Private burial follows at Salford Mennonite Church Cemetery, Harleysville.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to: Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446.  Memo line should read: "Missions".
