Obituary

Harold F. Wambold, 87, of Harleysville, PA, passed away at his residence on Sunday evening, February 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Elizabeth (Heacock) Wambold, on June 15, 2008.

Born May 18, 1935, in Boyertown, PA, he was a son of the late Wilmer G. and Leanna (Freed) Wambold. He was a 1953 graduate of Souderton High School. He was employed for many years as a bus driver with Transportation Services, Inc. of Franconia, PA.

Mr. Wambold was a member of both Christ Covenant Church and Encore Experiences of Harleysville, PA, where he enjoyed volunteering his time. His hobbies included croquet, cards, puzzles, senior games, woodworking, crafts and dominoes. He loved sports and his favorites were football, softball, bowling and pickleball.

Surviving are three children, Keith Wambold of Ottsville, PA; Doug Wambold of Aurora, CO, and his children, Melisa and Jaime; and Lorrie Rowan and her husband Robert of Kittery, ME, and her children, Derek J. Kuhn and his wife Laura, and their children, Jade, Eva and Megane, as well as Lorrie's daughter Stephanie A. Kuhn. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Kimberly and her husband Robert Nolen and their children, Danielle and her husband Charles Marchant, and their children, Eleanor and Olive, as well as their son Steven and his wife Alyssa; Michael Heacock and his wife Deborah, and their children, Stephanie Pfister and her husband Corey with their children, Wesley, Clara and Laine, as well as their son Stephen and his wife Samantha, and their daughter Brynn; and Jeffrey Heacock and his wife Deanne, and his daughter Rebecca Slawter and her husband Zac, and their children Colt and Millie.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Claude Luther Wambold, and sister, Regina Wambold Alderfer.
