H. Howard Hagar Jr., age 89, of Towamencin Township, died Friday afternoon, May 5, 2023 at Harborview Rehab. & Care Center, Lansdale. He was the husband of Elaine (Fredericks) Hagar, of Lansdale, to whom he was married 63 years.

Born in Abington Township, he was the son of the late H. Howard Hagar Sr. and Elizabeth Morris (Bray) Hagar. He attended Chestnut Hill Academy, then graduated from Ambler High School. Following high school graduation, Howard enlisted in the Navy Dec. 1, 1952 and was honorably discharged Nov. 29, 1956. He earned The National Defense Service Medal. Howard was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution.

He went on to earn an Associates Degree from Peirce Jr. College, Philadelphia. His career started at Girard Bank and concluded at SPS Technologies, where he was a Computer Systems Analyst.

In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by four children, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by one brother George L. Hagar and was preceded in death by a brother William H. Hagar.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 11:00AM at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy. If attending, procession will leave Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:15AM.
