Glyn D. Mangum, 88, of Harleysville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Noretta "Rita" Mangum.

Born in Oxford, North Carolina, Glyn was the son of the late Dewitt Joel Mangum and Amanda Mozelle Mangum. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School, Class of 1956, and later attended the University of Richmond.

Glyn dedicated his professional life to sales and marketing within the insurance industry. He worked for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company, Waddell & Reed, and Harryman Associates, and later served as Executive Vice President of Harleysville Life Insurance Company. He earned the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter, reflecting his professionalism and commitment to his field.

Glyn was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Richmond and a devoted member of Grace Bible Church in Souderton. There, he served as an elder, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir. He enjoyed making homemade ice cream, playing fastpitch softball, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Redskins.

He is survived by his sons, Doug Mangum and his wife Patti, and Todd Mangum and his wife Linda; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lydia Hope Mangum.

A memorial service for Glyn will be held at 11 AM on Saturday January 10 at Grace Bible Church, 423 N. Main Street, Souderton, PA 18964. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM.
