Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Yambrick, sports and music fanatic, collector of sports figurines and baseball cards, United States Navy Veteran, Mr. "Eye of the Tiger".

Gary was proud of his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren - Owen, Cole, Rylee, Clay, Ayden, and Madyson - supporting them in their passions and interests. He had a strong bond and banter with his brother, Craig, with whom he shared a deep passion for sports.

Gary could be found on any given day watching, attending, or talking about a sports game whether it be Penn State football, any Philadelphia team (when they were good), Iron Pigs baseball or any random college game he could find. Sometimes even with a glass of Arbor Mist, his beloved drink of choice. He was proud of his collection of McFarlane sports figurines and never missed an opportunity to show them off.  Gary enjoyed collecting and cataloging baseball cards, playing 500 rummy, and found joy in sharing his love for music.

Gary walked the line of reserved, yet outgoing, and would surprise you as the life of the party when surrounded by the right people.  He was a genuine, caring, and loving man who is now at peace. Words cannot describe how much he is and will forever be missed.

He is survived by his family - Craig, Carol, Valerie (Philip), Gary, Peter (Summer), Kimberly (Andy), and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy, and his beloved pooch, Maci.

Please join us as we celebrate Gary's life Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Schwenksville Borough Hall & Community Center located at 300 Main Street, Schwenksville, PA 19473. A memorial service will begin at 12 PM followed by Gary's favorite refreshments and a time to remember him. As Gary would love, please attend wearing gear from your favorite sports team.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you buy tickets to your favorite sporting event, attend with the people you love, and enjoy a hot dog for Gary.
