Enos Merle Landes, age 88, a longtime resident of Salford Township went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, October 24, in Peter Becker Community's Healthcare Unit, where he resided since November 2022. He was the husband of Eileen (Hilgner) Landes of Salford Township, for 56 years.

Enos Merle was born at home on the farm in West Rockhill Township to the late Henry S. & Edna (Godshall) Landes.

Even though he lost his arm as a young boy in a farm accident, it did not impede his ability to pursue life normally. He was a professional driver for Longacre Dairies of Bally, Longacre Poultry, Inc., Franconia & Leidy's, Inc., Souderton.

He was a charter member of Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church, Telford and pitched softball in several church leagues.  He was a volunteer at Care & Share Thrift Shoppes, Souderton.

In addition to his wife Eileen, he is survived by one son, Arden Merle Landes and his wife Dr. Jennifer Landes, one grandson Cole Moyer Landes who graduated from U.S. Air Force Academy, one brother:

Kathryn (Elwood) Schoenly, Bally,

Lois (Tom), Boyertown,

Naomi Yoder, Halifax, PA and sister-in-law Mary E. Hilgner, Hatfield, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Wilmer (Helen) Landes, Henry (Betty) Landes, Beulah (Stewart) Haberle, Ruth Mast (Milford), brother-in-law Paul Yoder.

Visitation will take place Saturday, November 2 from 12 noon to 1:00PM at Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church, 320 N. Third St., Telford, PA 18969, followed by the Memorial Service beginning at 1:00PM.  Refreshments will follow the memorial service in the church's Family Life Center. Burial took place at Leidy's Cemetery, Souderton.
