Elvin Ray Halteman, age 62, of Green Lane, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Tammy (Flewelling) Halteman, with whom he shared over 34 years of marriage.

Born July 31, 1960, in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Elvin and Miriam (Gehman) Halteman.

Ray was a graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, class of 1978. After graduating, he was employed as a carpenter/painter by Detweiler and Sons and H. Mininger and Son. Elvin was a member of Souderton Mennonite Church. He was a member of Flying Buck Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting, bird watching and camping. His passion was his family, and he cherished the times they spent together.

In addition to his wife Tammy, he is survived by his children, Danielle Thomas and her husband, Alex, of Elizabethtown, PA, Breanne McDavid and her husband, Matt, of Baltimore MD, and Troy Halteman and his wife, Kara, of Pittsburgh PA; grandchildren, Cora and Della Thomas and Maya McDavid; sisters, Glenda Hartzler and her husband, Keith, of Wooster OH, Diane Detweiler and her husband, Phil, of Telford PA, and Joanne Hendricks and her husband, Harold of Green Lane PA.

Services for Ray will take place at 10:30 AM on Saturday April 1, 2023, at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Road, Telford, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 – 10:15 AM. Interment will be private.
