Elizabeth (Liz) Clemens, 88, of Harleysville Pa, passed away at home on Friday, March 8, 2024. Born in Philadelphia on June 2nd, 1935 to Victor and Naomi (Pierce) Amorose, Liz was married to her loving husband, Harold Clemens.
Liz attended Germantown High School and Montgomery County Community College. She wanted to help others and work with the community and worked as a medical assistant in an OB-GYN office. She loved all babies. She directed projects benefiting Eastern State Hospital, was an elected Republican Committee Woman in 1968, and was a Girls Friendly Society leader empowering young women. Liz was faithful and involved in many ministries and the visitation team at Calvary Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Mana to feed the community and also volunteered as an emergency foster parent for infants in need.
Liz loved her friends and family dearly and her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved antiques, especially dolls, and ran a doll show with her daughter Sally for over 13 years. She was a sales representative for Decoy Ducks and owned an antique store in Glenside called Touch of Old. She enjoyed staying contemporary and opened an Etsy store with her grandson Shawn called Barns to Basements. She loved flowers and house plants and took pride in her gardens indoors and out. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society. Liz enjoyed long drives and travel with her husband Harold. She loved the beaches of New Jersey and Florida and especially enjoyed the sunshine in Clearwater in the winter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Charles Clarkson Weaver III, and her brothers Victor James Amorose III, and Eddie Amorose. She is survived by her husband Harold Clemens, her three daughters, Sally Comisarow(Dale), Leslie Penecale(Bill), and Tracy Kulick(Vince), six grandchildren: Alyson, Amanda, Andrew, Alex, Shawn, and Jacob, and her great-grandson Jaxon. She is survived by her husband Harold's children Lori(Rob), Brian(Sandy), Kevin(Patience), and grandchildren: Audrey, Amelia, Chad(Courtney), Ashley(Devin), Amber, Joe and Cierra, and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Levi.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 14, at Calvary Church, 820 Route 113 Souderton, 18964, where the family will receive friends from 10-10:45 AM. Please use the steeple entrance, Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
