Elaine Deborah Slavens, age 78, of Harleysville, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank T. Slavens, with whom she shared over 23 years of marriage.

Born May 7, 1947, in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late Matthew Joseph and Blanche (Posobiec) Szostek.

Elaine was strong in her faith and brought many to God. She loved to garden and scrolling on TikTok, where she was very proud of her many Christian followers. She enjoyed taking day trips to Lancaster and loved going to Shady Maple and seeing shows at Sight and Sound Theatre.

Elaine is survived by her son Michael Childs and his wife Tracy of Telford, daughter Kristen Hodges and her husband Jeff of Harleysville, stepson Jacob Slavens of Lansdale; grandchildren Brett and Joey Childs, Rickilee Hodges, Emily Herman, her husband Tre, and Jeffrey Hodges; and brother Robert Szostek of Royersford.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Joanne Szostek.
