In Loving Memory of Eileen Y. Frantz

A Life of Love, Faith, and Family

Eileen Young Frantz, age 91, of Harleysville, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday night, October 30th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Frantz, who passed away January 30, 2006. They shared 40 beautiful years of marriage together.

Born July 19, 1935, in Sellersville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Estella (Young) Landis and Alvin M. Landis, Sr. She lived a life centered around faith, family, and love. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was a blessing to all who knew her.

Eileen spent her childhood in a beautiful red-brick home along Route 113 in the heart of Souderton, PA, where she made many cherished memories growing up. She began her education in a one-room schoolhouse, a setting that reflected the simplicity and charm of her early years. She later continued her studies and graduated in 1953 from Sell-Perk High School, now known as Pennridge High School.

Eileen began developing her strong work ethic at a young age, spending time helping her father at his business, Alvin Landis Furniture Store, located along Route 113 in Souderton, PA. She fondly spent many days assisting with the upholstering and helping wherever she was needed. As a young woman, she went on to work at French’s Factory until she began her family. Eileen then devoted herself to what she treasured most: being home and raising her beloved children, pouring her love and care into her family. As her children grew older, she returned to the workforce, working in the Souderton Area School District cafeteria, where she continued to serve and care for others.

A dedicated homemaker, Eileen found great joy in caring for her family and making a house a home. She was known for her love of baking and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Some of life's most treasured memories were made around the table, sharing meals, laughter, and time together. She especially loved gathering around the table to play games with her family, where laughter and friendly competition were always welcome. Parcheesi was her favorite, and those moments of fun and togetherness were among the many memories her family will cherish. She also treasured family vacations to the mountains and the beach, creating lasting memories with the people she loved most.

During her retirement years, she and her beloved husband James enjoyed traveling together, making the most of their time and experiencing new places side by side. These years brought many special adventures and memories that her family will always hold dear.

Her love for others extended beyond her home and into her church community. She faithfully served in her local church, lovingly caring for little ones in the nursery and preparing meals in the church kitchen. Whether through a warm meal, a kind gesture, or simply giving her time, she had a heart for serving others and showing Christ's love in everyday ways.

Above all, Eileen will be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart, and the many ways she made those around her feel loved. Her legacy will live on through the generations of family she leaves behind and the countless memories that will forever be treasured.

While her family grieves the loss of someone so deeply loved, they find comfort in the promises of God's Word. They do not grieve without hope, knowing that through faith in Jesus Christ, death is not the end. Her earthly journey is complete, and she is now at home in the presence of her Savior, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering. As Scripture reminds us:

"To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8

Surviving are her three children: her daughter, Rhonda Springer, and her husband, Joe; and her two sons, Ronald Frantz, and his wife, Karen; and Michael Frantz, and his wife, Colleen. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Danielle, Cassie, Joey, Emily, Jamie, Brandon, and Teddy, and a proud great-grandmother to Gabriel, Travis, Emma, and Gracelyn. She is also survived by her brother, Walton Landis; and her sister, Marilyn Nase and her husband, Ralph.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Merrill Landis, Alvin Landis Jr., and Ralph Landis; and a sister, Elva “Dolly” Worthington.

A celebration of her life will be held at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home. In keeping with Eileen’s wishes, her funeral service will be a private gathering reserved for immediate family.

Until we meet again in Heaven, we will carry your love, your faith, and your memories in our hearts. We thank God for the blessing of your life and look forward to the day we are reunited in His presence.
