Edward Joseph McKelvey, 89, of Lansdale, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (McDermott) McKelvey, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (O'Shea) McKelvey.

Edward was a graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School, Class of 1953, and St. Joseph's College, Class of 1967. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, during the Korean War.

He worked as a Controller for Teleflex Inc. and later as Vice President of Central Sprinkler Corp.

Ed's world centered around his family. Nothing brought him more pride than watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. His steady presence, humor, and unwavering support shaped countless moments

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kathleen McKelvey, Kevin McKelvey, Tim McKelvey (Debbie), Sean McKelvey (Mary Kathryn), and Mary Eileen Graczyk (Joseph); 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, with another expected in February.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Burkett; his brother, Rev. Thomas McKelvey; and his sister, Margaret Clinton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 17, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Avenue, Hatfield, PA 19440, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
