Edward L. Kohlman, Jr., 74, a resident of Harleysville, PA, for over 40 years, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday morning, May 4, 2024. He and his wife, Cathryn L. (Glesinger) Kohlman, would have observed their 43rd wedding anniversary on October 24th of this year.

Born March 4, 1950, in Hatfield, PA, he was the son of the late Edward L. Kohlman, Sr. and Rose (Mancuso) Kohlman. He was a 1968 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School.

Mr. Kohlman worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years, following in his father's footsteps. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #542 as well as the American Legion.   He was a drag racing enthusiast from a very young age.  He enjoyed time in the Poconos at Lake Wallenpaupack where he grew up snowmobiling, boating and waterskiing.   He was happy working on cars and tinkering on things around the house.  He loved time with his family, most recently with his grandkids, who loved any activities with him including tractor rides, playing games, and supermarket shopping.

He was always willing to help anyone, whether it was to plow snow in a neighbor's driveway or do digging/other work with his backhoe or share knowledge or tools.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Pell and her husband, Philip, of Boyertown, PA, and Samantha Kohlman of Miami, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Claire Hoffman of Royersford, PA, and five grandchildren: Lukas, Shelby, Ruby, Greyson, and Liliana.

Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45 am on Friday, May 10, 2024, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Avenue, Hatfield, PA, where the public Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am. Interment will be private. For those desiring, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
