Obituary

Edith K. (Fox) Hagey, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 15, 2025.  She was the devoted wife of Kenneth Hagey, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.

She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Esther (Harvey) Fox.  Most of her life was in Salfordville, where she raised a family.

After raising her five children, Edith drove school buses for Transportation Services for many years until her retirement.  She loved traveling with her husband and made many trips nationally and abroad. Golfing with Kenny and playing cards with friends were two of her favorite activities. Trips to Lancaster, chickens, gardens, flowers, baking, playing softball with her daughters and mountain travel were also passions.

Kenneth was her world and a house full of family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also a joy.

She faithfully attended Grace Bible Church of Souderton for many years and later Calvary Church of Souderton.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Gerhard (Paul), Sharon Halteman (Brian), Michael Hagey (Lisa), Donna Schaffer (Richard) and Timothy Hagey (Laurie).  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Kelly Chandler, and three of her siblings, Ruth Peters, Alvin Fox and Eula Pettie.

A luncheon with family begins at 11:30 on Friday September 19 at Calvary Church of Souderton to celebrate Edith. Please enter at Door 1.

Interment will be private in Immanuel Leidy's Cemetery, Souderton.
