E. Elizabeth "Liz" Kent, age 85, of Harleysville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 28, 1939, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Walter T. and Ellen Rita (Richardson) Kent.

Liz was known for her quick wit, famously called the "Kent humor," which could always draw laughter from those around her. A talented pianist and crafter, she lovingly crocheted blankets for her grandchildren, created silk flower arrangements, and stamped homemade greeting cards.

Her family, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest joy. She never missed a chance to celebrate with them, always arriving early to any party with her arms full of gifts and her heart full of love.

A proud alumna of William Tennent High School, she owned a successful secretarial and transcription business serving clients nationwide and even organized her 50th class reunion. Wherever she lived—from Buckingham Springs in the late 1900s to Parkview at Oakcrest in 2023—Liz played an active role in her community, contributing to the homeowner's association and calling Bingo games for her friends and neighbors. Liz was deeply involved in her church, greeting guests with a warm smile each Sunday she attended.

Liz is survived by her children Rita M. Dundon and her husband Daniel, Kelly A. DeTommaso and her husband Mike, and Kathleen Cavanaugh; grandchildren Sean Dundon and his wife Chelsea, Nicholas Dundon and his wife Hilary, Leah Strozeski and her husband Tylor, Michael DeTommaso and his wife Sofia, Hannah, Dylan, and Holden Fassbender; great grandchildren Jack, Charlie, Freddy and Mia Dundon and Piper Strozeski; brother Thomas W. Kent and his wife JoAnn, and Brother-in-law Burton "Bud" Morris. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 'In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Kent and sister Doris J. (Kent) Morris.

A funeral service for Elizabeth will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM.
