Dorothy Elizabeth Petack, age 100, passed away on October 12, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Petack, who passed away in November,1985.

Born May 15, 1924, on the family farm in Hilltown, PA, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Curtis) Constanzer.

Dorothy retired from The R.T. French Company where she worked over 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers were her passion. She always said, "Send me flowers while I am alive, not after I'm gone!" She was known as "Nana" to the family and enjoyed many hours babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren well into her 80's. She also enjoyed baking, watching cooking shows, following the Phillies, traveling, and she loved playing Scrabble.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy DeSousa of Limerick, and a son, Jeffrey Cressman and his wife Suzanne, of Telford; a sister, Grace Labs; grandchildren, R. Scott Detweiler, R. Steven Detweiler and his wife, Darlena, Corinne Bivighouse Hunsicker and her husband, Tavio, and Travis Bivighouse. In addition, she is survived by great- grandchildren, Julie Detweiler Nunez and her husband, Ubaldo; Desiree Detweiler Iffrig and her husband, Joseph; Addison Hunsicker and his partner, Katie; Sydni Bivighouse Thomas and her husband, Alex; and Char Bivighouse. She is also survived by four great- great-grandchildren, Dakota, Steven, Arizona and Preston.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Detweiler, sons-in-law, Robert Detweiler and Fred deSousa; five brothers, Earl, James, Marvin, Walton and Wilmer "Bill" Constanzer; and three sisters, Ethel Godshall, Blanche Moyer and Ella Cramer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Peter Becker Community Chapel, 800 Maple Avenue, Harleysville, PA 19438, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
