Dorothy (Nissen) Maass, 92, of Mission Viejo, CA, formerly of Villanova, PA, died on December 14, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Richard Maass.

Born in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Borghild and Christian Nissen.

Dorothy earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and her master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  Dorothy had worked as a professor at Delaware County Community College.

She is survived by two sons, David Maass and James Maass, and five grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene, Margaret, Arthur and Edgar.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 15, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2191 W. Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Please wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.

There will be a reception at 12:00 PM at Charlotte's Restaurant, Newtown Square, 3207 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
