R. Doris V. Cox, 96, a former long-time resident of Southampton, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023, at Ann's Choice Senior Living in Warminster, PA, where she lived for the last 16 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Cox, Jr. on December 27, 2012. They had been married for 65 years at the time of his passing.

Born July 22, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Christine (Ruge) Van Horn. She was a graduate of Palmer Business School.

Mrs. Cox was a member of the North & Southampton Reformed Church of Churchville, PA, where she was active with Ruth Circle, Aid for Friends, and served as a deacon. She was also a member of NGA, VFW Women's Auxiliary and Southampton Jr. Women's Club. Her hobbies included reading, knitting, crocheting, and playing Bridge.

Surviving is a son, Robert A. Cox and his wife, Sherry, of Doylestown, PA; and a daughter, Deborah C. Kantner and her husband, Thomas, of Hilltown, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Eala Clarke and her husband Brian, Rebecca Pellini and her husband Brian, Jessica Wojciechowicz and her husband Joseph, Ryan Fuller, Christopher Fuller and his wife Amanda, Thomas Kantner II, and Julie Kantner; and eight great grandchildren, Taylen, Kinley, Avery, Austin, Luke, Meadow, Nora and Colin.

Relatives and friends are invited to a public memorial service at 11:30 am on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Ann's Choice Chapel, 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA. Interment is private. For those desiring, contributions may be made in her memory to a local SPCA chapter. Funeral arrangements are by the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. of Franconia, PA.
