Donna M. Snyder, age 68, went to be with the Lord the evening of April 19, 2024.
She was born on January 5, 1956 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Arthur E. Sharp and Mildred Bane Sharp. She grew up in Marlin, Pennsylvania, graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1973 where she was involved with the future nurses club. She pursued a medical radiology career where she then served as a radiologic technologist with Grandview Hospital for over 40 years. She was well-loved by all of her patients and enjoyed her job greatly.
She married James Edward Snyder III on September 22, 1979 in Hilltown, Pennsylvania. They were married for 44 years and had the joy of three children together. They lived in Telford, Pennsylvania for their entire 44 years together.
Donna enjoyed crafting, painting, gardening, cooking (especially homemade soup), Andrea Bocelli music, and going out to breakfast with her husband Jim. She was very involved in school events and was a "homeroom mom" while the kids were in elementary school. She also lead the 4-H "Green Thumbers" Historical Gardening group for several years and loved getting her children involved in activities: sports, music lessons, Vacation Bible School, art classes, and many others.
She attended Calvary Church in Souderton and had a deep faith in God. She always spoke of God's love and His sacrifice on the cross, giving her eternal life. The last several years, Donna especially loved doing Bible word search puzzles, which was a spiritual encouragement to her.
A special memory of Donna was about 10 years ago, when she was able to take her trip of a lifetime and follow her father's WWII footsteps through Italy. She had always dreamed of going to the Isle of Capri and seeing the Faraglioni Rocks. The joy on her face that day was so very special.
Her dearest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was an extremely devoted mother at home and loved to celebrate family traditions and special holidays. To be surrounded by family, friends (and her dog, Karma) brought her deep joy. She was the very best Mom: always cheering for and supporting her children in all of their endeavors. And when grandchildren came along, she was thrilled. She was the very best "Grammy," always showering the kids with love and gifts. One of her favorite times with the grandchildren was making Christmas cookies during the holidays.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Elmer Sharp and Mildred Bane Sharp.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her children, daughter, Melissa M. Propst and her husband, Albert of Dalton, Pennsylvania and grandchildren Olivia and Oban, son James E. Snyder IV and his girlfriend Emily Lopez of Telford, Pennsylvania, son, Joseph A. Snyder of Telford, Pennsylvania, and sister, Kimberly J. Synesael and her husband Shannon of Lafayette, Indiana.
Her memory will be cherished by all of her loved ones. Even at this difficult time, we are rejoicing that she had accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and is now with Him in glory.
