Donna was born a twin on December 2, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a 1963 graduate of North Penn High School where she was active in sports and choir.  She earned a degree from Lycoming College in 1967 where she also was a member of the Lycoming College touring choir.  Following her college days, she spent more than a year serving with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) working with the Juvenile Court in Denver, Colorado. Returning home to Pennsylvania, she began her 30-year teaching career at Pennridge High School in January 1969 where she taught senior electives, which included the study of liberation movements, psychology, and sociology.  She was a class advisor, the adviser to the cultural diversity and drama clubs, majorettes and color guards and also an assistant softball coach. Donna treated everyone with respect and wished that everyone else would do the same.  Perry Como's song "I May Never Pass This Way Again" was a favorite which she sang with her twin over the years.  Read the words sometime; they are powerful.

She died at home at the age of 76.

Donna is survived by her sister Judy Yerger and husband Paul of Willingboro, NJ, twin sister: Dawn Palmquist and husband Jim of Macungie, PA, brother-in-law Donald Diehl of Pennsburg, PA and nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one sister: Joy Diehl.

Donna's family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday morning, June 14, where viewing will take place from 9:00-10:00 AM at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike (Rt. 113), Telford, PA 18969.  The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM. The family will greet later arriving folks before leaving for the burial at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
