Donald Z. Detwiler, 76, of Telford, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at St Mary Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Lansdale. He was the husband of Doris (Moyer) Detwiler, with whom he shared 58 years of devoted marriage.

Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Stanley and Dorothy Detwiler. He was a graduate of Souderton Area High School, class of 1967.

Donald was an avid worldwide hunter who also enjoyed fishing, time at their vacation home in Tuckerton NJ, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) and served as  President for four years, two (2) year terms.  He also served on the executive committee for National SCI.

Donald worked in sales at EF Precision in Horsham from 1994 until his retirement in 2021.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kerry Detwiler (Melissa) of Harleysville, Tracy Landis (Dennis) of Harleysville, and Krista Detwiler of Lansdale; his grandchildren, Colby, Devynne, Nathaniel, Aiden, and Cayla; his brother, Vernon Detwiler and partner Deanna Lemburg; and sisters-in-law Ruth Detwiler, Lila Hackman, and Elaine Clemens. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Leon Detwiler, Brenda Sue Detwiler, and Stevie Detwiler.

A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, July 15, from 4-6 pm at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969. On Thursday, July 16th, a private service will be held at the funeral home for family and friends.  Burial will take place at Franconia Mennonite Church Cemetery.
