Dolores "Sue" Bishop Fox, age 86, of Harleysville, was ushered into the presence of the Lord Saturday June 15, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Bishop, who passed in 1974, the late George Fox and the late Roy Matthews.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Isabelle Downey and her husband John. Sue attended Norristown High School and began employment with Philco Ford, Solid State Scientific, retiring from Leeds and Northrop in 1994.
Sue loved horses from childhood and as an adult attended many horse shows, including the Devon horse show, which she enjoyed annually with family members. Her love of animals included Oliver, her Boston Terrier. She loved dancing, traveling, Disney World and the beach at Ocean City, NJ. Her greatest love was being surrounded by her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sue is survived by two daughters: Wendy Amparano and husband Gene, Kearney, Missouri, Brenda Alderfer and husband Dale, Souderton.
One son:Kenneth E. Bishop Jr. and wife Patricia, Franconia, eight grandchildren: Christie Alderfer Bett and husband Kyle, Kenneth E. Bishop III and wife Alexis, Ashley Alderfer Smith and husband Ray, Korey Bishop and wife Amanda, Rachel Amparano, Aaron Alderfer and wife Mary, Rebecca Amparano Baryshok and husband Vitaliy, Elias Amparano and wife Kayla, ten great-grandchildren: Lucy, Daniel, Rosalie, Luke, Brayden, Peter, Mason, Nina, Eliana and Kenneth IV.
She was preceded in death by two brothers John Downey and Charles Downey and two sisters: Regina Whiteman and Hazel Pritz.
Relatives and friends are invited to Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, 667 Harleysville Pike (Rt. 113) Telford, PA on Friday, June 28.
Visitation from 11:00AM-12:00noon. Funeral service will begin at 12:00noon.
Burial follows at Montgomery Baptist Church, Montgomeryville.
