Dennis Lee Bergey, age 81, of Pennsburg, passed into glory on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Linda Lee (Schlossman) Bergey, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born February 19, 1944, in Lederach, he was a son of the late Tyson T, and Florence E. (Hendricks) Bergey.

Dennis was an owner of J.H. Freed, Inc. an excavating company in Elroy, for 50 years. He was a member of Renew Bible Church of Perkasie and was involved in various aspects of the church. He was a past member of the Telford Volunteer Fire Company, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He loved his family and treasured the times they spent together. His favorite place to be was on his farm. Denny was a strong man of faith and even in his many years of health battles, he continued to give God the glory.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by his children Kevin Bergey and his wife Dolores, Jolene DeMar and her husband Dave, Bryan Bergey and his wife Leann; grandchildren Heather Gavin and her partner Trenton Parker, Sarah Hamilton, Zachariah DeMar and his wife Alexandra, Alyssa Phillips and her husband Hayden, Alexander and Noah Bergey, Isaiah and Elijah Bergey; great-grandchildren Nolan and Delaney Hamilton, Skylar Phillips, and Holden Parker; siblings Pearl Smith and her husband Kurt, Paul Bergey and his wife Carolee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his sister Doris Sames.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Renew Bible Church, 1600 N. 5th Street, Perkasie, PA 18944.

Interment will be private.
