Claire Devlin was born to the late Samuel and Edna Dennell on December 26, 1923. She was their only child. Claire had an idyllic childhood growing up in Kenneth Square, PA. She often reminisced about her years growing up in the country. The Great Depression forced her parents to move back to Philadelphia to find work. She graduated from West Catholic High School in 1941.

She married her beloved late husband, Bill Devlin, on February 7, 1942. Claire and Bill had three daughters, Lillian, Theresa, and Claire. She devoted her life to her family. She was a wonderful, Loving wife, mother and grandmother

Claire is survived by her daughters Theresa McDonough (John) and Claire Rusczyk (Richard) and son-in-law Dr. Andrew McGinnis and grandchildren Jayne, John, Bill, Claire, Richard and Lisa. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, daughter Lillian and grandson Andrew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
