Carolyn K. Burrell (born 6.22.1931 in Abington, PA), entered into the fullness of Resurrection Life through the Lord Jesus Christ, on August 2, 2025.

She grew up in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

While attending Springfield High School, Montgomery County, she met her future husband, John R. Burrell.

Carolyn enrolled at Penn State University and graduated in 1953. In June of the same year Carolyn and John married.

Carolyn was a teacher and taught at the elementary school grade level for many years.

Later, in retirement, she taught English as a second language to friends in the South Korean Community.

In June of 2023 Carolyn and John celebrated their 70th wedding Anniversary.

Carolyn was a woman of faith and strived to love and serveGod and her neighbors in need. In her last years she lived at the Lutheran Community at Telford, Pennsylvania.

Her four children and extended family survive Carolyn:

Laurie Pappas (Mark), Nancy LeVasseur (John), Janet Gildner (Eric), and Mark Burrell (Charlene).  Grandchildren: Matthew Baker (Tiffany), Jason Baker (Maribeth), Paul Manz (Nora), Heidi Lengel (Andrew), Stephanie Terauds (Alex), Peter Gildner (Alyssa), Zachary Baker (Laura), Rachel Pitman (Aaron), Sarah Turner, and David Burrell.

Great-grandchildren:  John, Henry, Liberty, Charlotte, Noah, Adelyn, Gunner, Jethro, Esther, Jaelle, Penelope, Hannah, and Marilyn.

A Celebration of Life service in honor of John & Carolyn Burrell will be held on Saturday,  ​August 23, at 11:00am at the Lutheran Community at Telford Chapel, located at: 12 ​Lutheran Home Drive, Telford, PA. Family will greet attendees informally before the ​service.
