Bruce Douglas Fellman, age 79, of Telford, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mary Theresa (Cusati) Fellman, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 13.
Born May 13, 1946, in Doylestown, he was a son of Russell Earl and Helen Laura (Buckman) Fellman.
A 1964 Graduate of Central Bucks High School, Bruce played football and track. He began his professional career in banking, and with hard work and determination, worked his way up the ladder to Senior Vice President. Specializing in commercial loans at Continental Bank, Union National Bank, and Harleysville National Bank, Bruce gained a reputation which he valued greatly, that of being honest, ethical and kind. He made many lifetime friendships along the way and never hesitated to right wrongs that he came across.
Bruce married his wife in 1970 and raised a family in Lansdale, PA. He loved fishing on his boat, especially with his daughter Melissa. In fact, he enjoyed her company fishing so much that he gave up using fresh bait after Melissa learned of the worm's intricate nervous system in her 7th grade science class. Bruce enjoyed poker nights with his business buddies, watching football and baseball, vacationing with his family in OCNJ and Cape May, and post-retirement winter months with his wife and fellow snowbirds on Navarre Beach in Florida. Bruce was a self-taught gourmand and thoroughly enjoyed cooking after retirement. He often posted pictures of his delicious creations on Facebook from "Bistro 129."
Nothing mattered more to Bruce than God and family. His happiest times were spent with the family he was born into and the family he created. Although Bruce had only one child, he was a "bonus father" to many of her friends. He did not have biological grandchildren, but he was a "fairy grandparent" to children of close friends who knew him affectionately as "Mr. Bruce." Bruce taught those children how to stomp in mud puddles, tie a lure, throw a football, drive a tractor, and create lovingly fun moments that drove parents nuts. He also enjoyed being a "grandPaw" to his daughter's dogs, Logan, Miranda, Kai and Luna. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife Mary Theresa, Bruce is survived by his daughter Melissa Doyle and her husband David of Harleysville, his brother James Fellman and his wife Rebecca of Sellersville and his sister Phyllis Lachapelle of Absecon, NJ. He is also survived by fairy grandchildren Gavin and Isabella as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great–nephews, and cousins.
