Bette J. Landes, 90, of Telford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Born in Norristown, Bette was the beloved daughter of the late John and Ethel Marx.

A proud 1952 graduate of Hatfield Consolidated School, she later worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and served her community as a crossing guard at Main Street and Church Street in Telford.

Bette was a devoted member of Penn Valley Church in Telford. She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, solving jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and Sudoku. Bette also dedicated her time to volunteering at Grand View Hospital.

She is survived by her children: Kerry Weaver (Sam), Melanie Shellenberger (Ray), Laurie Bishop (Tim), and Mark Landes (Denise). She is also survived by her brother, Jon Marx (Elizabeth), nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Bette was preceded in death by her son, Richard Todd Landes.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969, where the family will receive friends from 10:30-11 AM. Interment will be private at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bette's honor to Penn Valley Church .
