Benito Antonio Cianciaruso Sr., age 84, of Harleysville, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Anna Rosaria (Solimeno) Cianciaruso, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.

Born September 1, 1938, in Formia Italy, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Ida (Amendola) Cianciaruso.

Benito was born and raised in Italy.  There, he met his wife, and they were married in Formia, Italy.  Soon after their wedding, he came to America.  He found work in Construction and was a great provider for his family. Benito loved his family and worked hard to make sure they had everything they needed. He was a proud, patriotic, sarcastically funny, and private man. He was a wonderful father to his three children. He loved being a Pop-Pop to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the Holidays and Sunday dinners, when they were all around him. One of Benito's favorite things to do was food shopping. He loved when the Sunday paper would arrive with the circulars and coupons.  He also liked to garden and take care of his fig trees. He was our hero, our strength, and our rock and he will be very missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his wife Rosaria, Benito is survived by his children, Liliana Gravagno, Giovanna Dougherty and her husband, Bill, and Benito Cianciaruso, Jr. and his wife, Lauren; grandchildren James, Eric, Nicholas, David, Sarah, Giovanni, Sofia and Olivia; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Maya, Luna and Ruby; and sisters, Anna Pompea, Maria and Elena. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Italy and the United States.

A memorial service for Benito will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will be private.
