Barbara Jean Easter, age 83, of Harleysville, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Born June 28, 1938, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Henry John and Jean (Roberts) Easter.

Barbara was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and a member of the choir. She also volunteered at the church in many different capacities over the years. She was a beginning member in formation of the music program of COHS and was a talented musician playing piano and bells for the church services. Barbara was the head of the math department at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and led the Mathletes program before retiring. She was an avid Penn State fan. She loved spending time with her friends and volunteering at the Harleysville Community Center, including running and participating in the 50-mile swim and organizing the swim lessons program. She loved attending countless activities to support her children and grandchildren and cherished the times they spent together

She is survived by her children, Douglas Keffer and his wife, Gennifer, of Pennsburg, PA, Daniel Keffer of Green Lane, PA, and Brenda Lovett and her husband, Vincent, of Tabernacle, NJ; five grandchildren, Riley, Erica, Owen, and Shane Lovett, and Brianna Keffer; a sister, Dr. Nannette Ruth of Telford, PA; a niece, Brandy Ruth Mosteller; and a nephew, Whitney Ruth.

A viewing for Barbara will take place on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, and a calling hour again on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 10:00 – 10:45 AM at Church of the Holy Spirit, 2871 Barndt Road, Harleysville, where services will follow at 11:00 AM
