Arlene M. Ruth, age 89, of Telford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Herbert William Ruth, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.

Born October 11, 1935, in Telford, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Musselman) Yothers. Arlene worked as a school bus driver, employed by Transportation Services and was a member of the Telford Fire Company Auxiliary for over 55 years. She taught Sunday School and Bible School at Trinity United Church of Christ for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, boating, bowling, playing cards, spending time in Rehoboth Beach and watching the Phillies games. Arlene was the Philadelphia Eagles biggest fan, attending games both home and away while being a season ticket holder for over 20 years. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sports games and band concerts. Arlene enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially funny cakes, cheese custard pies, and graham cracker pies for her grandchildren. Her joy was her family, and she cherished the time they spent together.

In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by her sons Randy Ruth and his wife, Denise, of Harleysville, and Todd Ruth and his wife, Teresa, of Souderton; grandchildren Jennifer Smolinsky and her husband, Mike, of North Wales, Matthew Ruth and his wife, Cynthia, of Seattle WA, Jacob Ruth of Maryland and Justin Ruth of Souderton; siblings Kathryn Schlosser, Ray Yothers and his wife, Barbara, Jean Anders and her husband, Wilson, Blanche Freed and her husband, Kenneth, Doris Hunsberger and her husband, Clyde, Paul Yothers and his wife Pam, Betty Clemmer, Abram Yothers and his wife, Brenda, and Robert Yothers and sister-in-law Ruth Yothers. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard Henry Yothers and Kenneth Yothers.

Funeral services for Arlene will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 South Main Street, Telford, where a viewing will be held from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place in Trinity Cemetery of Telford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arlene's name may be made to the Telford Fire Company Auxiliary, 400 West Broad Street, Telford, PA 18969.
